Michael Grim |
Michael Grim joined the Rochester Police
Department in 1978, he served as a sworn Part-Time Officer until l998,
at which time he was designated Special Assistant to the Chief of
Police. In that capacity, he assists the Chief with updates in policy,
procedure, and technology. Michael's Full-Time career during that time
was with Illinois Bell Telephone/AT&T where he served in various
managerial assignments from 1975 until his retirement in November, 2000.
Following retirement from AT&T, Michael worked for the Springfield
Police Department as the manager of the Inspections and Audits Section.
He also worked with the Asst. Chief of Police assigned to Homeland
Security, where he performed risk and threat assessment to City, as well
as State and Federal facilities, including the Lincoln Home site. In
addition to assessments, he also formulated emergency response plans,
and conducted informational presentations to both public and
governmental organizations. In October of 2004, Michael was hired by the
Illinois Secretary of State as a Counter-Terrorism Advisor assigned to
the Department of Police. In April of 2006, Michael was named Chief of
Emergency Operations for the newly created Secretary of State,
Department of Operational and Technological Security. Michael holds FBI
Secret Clearance status.
