Officer Mark Cordes has served with the Rochester Police Department since July of 2006. After graduating from Marquette Catholic High School in 1996, he entered Illinois College where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics-Business. Officer Cordes Investigated Health Insurance claims before being hired with the Rochester Police Department. Officer Cordes graduated from the Police Training Institute at the University of Illinois at Champaign in October of 2006. Since that time, he has been Certified in Basic SWAT/CQB, is a Breath Alcohol Test Operator, and a Juvenile Officer.  Officer Cordes is also a Certified Field Training Officer and a Basic Active Shooter Course instructor.
